The Neverending Story

What you probably didn't know about the Neverending Story:

The NeverEnding Story is a 1984 German-American epic fantasy film based on the novel of the same name written by Michael Ende. The film was directed and co-written by Wolfgang Petersen (his first English-language film). It was then followed by two sequels: The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter and The NeverEnding Story III: Escape From Fantasia.[2]

This film adaptation only covered the first half of the book. The majority of the movie was filmed in Germany, except for Barret Oliver's scenes, which were shot in Vancouver, BC, Canada. It was Germany's highest budgeted film of the time. The novel's author, Michael Ende, felt that this adaptation's content deviated so far from his book that he requested they either halt production or change the name; when they did neither, he sued them and subsequently lost the case.[

I have been to the Bavarian Movie Studios as a child and was able to  go last year again.

If you ever have the chance to visit the Movie Studios in Bavaria, you need to sit on Falkor with the blue screen as background and see yourself on TV flying like Atreyu did. You can also purchase Falkor as a stuffed animal at the gift shop and as far as I know, you can't buy Falkor any where else. And who doesn't want to own a Luck Dragon? I got mine!

I also recommend reading the book and watch the movie since they are so different.

It's always fun to feel like a child again and enjoy the things we grew up with.

have a great day,

Crochet Shrug

A while ago I made this shrug with Lion Brand Tweed Stripes Yarn. It's a" one size fits most" pattern and super easy to make. The yarn is soft and after washing you can also put it in the dryer.
It's another one of those clothing items that you can dress up or down and probably wear a lot.

Crochet Cardigan

I love this crochet cardigan. The pattern is a shell design and I got from the book " The Crochet Closet". It was easy to make and to put together. I have made it in a pink color as well but I'm still looking for buttons. When it is finished I will post more pictures of my new cardigan .

I used Caron's Simply Soft Yarn in blueberry color and it just feels fantastic!

My mother in law gave everybody for Valentine's Day a gift basket she made. I love the way it has come together and of course when we opened it up it was just fantastic to see all the goodies.

Historic Town of Gold Hill

I love this little town.

 http://www.historicgoldhill.com/id27.htm

I have sold some of my dish rags at Jane's Thangs but she is closing her shop and now you can find my arts/crafts at "Back Home" which is Sandy Hickman's store.

When you stop in Gold Hill make sure to have lunch/dinner at the Stamp Mill Café. They have fantastic dishes from Burgers to Fish 'n' Chips. Also try some of the fantastic desserts. My personal favorite is the Chocolate Crème Brulee.

Enjoy the day by wandering trough the shops, get some Ice Cream or have a rest at the Tea Shop. Bring your family and have fun.

The link will give you more detailed info on directions, opening hours, events and everything else you need to know.

For more pictures check out the website!

Have a great day everyone. Let me know how you like Gold Hill.
Feel free to leave me comments,
Have you had your Mimosa today?
